Tore Fjagesund Receives SPE Distinguished Membership from Society of Petroleum EngineersRichardson, TX (29 October 2020) – The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) recently honored Mr. Tore Fjagesund with SPE Distinguished Membership at SPE’s Member Monday Awards Session held 26October. Fjagesund is Technical Director at Schlumberger Norge AS.
Fjagesund is being recognized for his significant contributions to safety in the oil and gas industry, applying well barrier and well integrity experience to develop a digital solution to reduce risk of well accidents solution used by 3000 users in 45 companies worldwide, and for co-authoring two revisions of NORSOK D-010: Well Integrity in Drilling and Well Operations, a globally recognized and respected well integrity standard.
SPE serves more than 164,000 members worldwide, sharing technical knowledge for the benefit of our industry. Each year, SPE presents awards that recognize members whose efforts have advanced petroleum technology, as well as their professional achievements and contributions to the industry and the society.
